Rajni Chhabra's poetry is the quintessence of blue and pink of her life's experience; the story of an Indian woman; and a lively depiction of the agonies of woman in general. She meditates, not only on human conditions, but vocalizes her inner cry too, smearing her ink in oceanic pains. One can not go without being affected within his/her heart the pervading sorrows of the self while struggling deep for self recognition. As a prototype Indian woman, she becomes a protagonist of her own poetry, struggling through dark and dins symbolizing each soul. She retains a deep link with treasured memories of past, but does not ignore present and cherishes hopes for a beautiful future for society as a whole. As an awakened soul , academician and social activist, she raises her voice against social degeneration and chaos in society.
By sitting in front of the mirror one can only identify physical structure but not one’s mental recognition. The interpretation of her life was not a bliss for her to entertain, but a solitary strife. Her life is not less than a nostalgic documentary of struggles against the oceanic pains. She is the emblem of cultural and aesthetic human values and high thinking in the pervading global scenario where degeneration is at its peak. Besides being all the oddities, she hopefully dreams for the future generation. Her emotions are linked together with written episode by episode. There is a sonorous flux of her thoughts and emotions in her poems as if we are watching a movie.
